Individuals with Ocular Albinism should be under the care of an ophthalmologist knowledgeable about genetic eye diseases.  An accurate diagnosis, confirmed with DNA testing, must be done to assure that the diagnosis of X-linked Ocular Albinism is correct.  Additionally, the mother of any male suspected to have X-linked Ocular Albinism should be examined to see if she is a carrier.
